Transport Fever 3 is young — it launched on September 29, 2026 — so its patch history is short, and this page stays deliberately narrow: it lists only builds that the official release notes confirm, with the platform and the date each fact was checked. Storefronts and consoles do not always update on the same day, so when a fix matters to your save, compare your build against the table below and then against the official release notes linked at the bottom.

The Steam stable line is the one this site can verify directly from the official PC release notes. Epic and GOG builds arrive on their own publication schedule, and console platforms are documented in a separate console notes page — neither is asserted here without a source.

Build 40420 — the first stability update (October 8, 2026)

Urban Games described build 40420 as the game's first stability update. Per the official PC release notes it targets performance and stability, specifically:

  • Rendering and frame-time improvements.
  • Changes to video-memory management.
  • Fixes for several crashes and construction errors.
  • A fix for an issue involving airport hangars.
  • Minor localization corrections.

The same notes say additional work is planned in three areas: interface usability, localization quality, and the mod hub. Treat those as forward-looking statements — this page will only list them as shipped once a release note confirms them.

The launch build (September 29, 2026)

The game launched simultaneously on PC, Mac and Linux (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG) and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The launch period matters for troubleshooting: guides and forum fixes written against the launch build can behave differently on 40420. Note that the stability patch's official notes list no changes to cargo or storage behavior — so if your freight will not unload, the diagnosis path is the same on both builds.

Consoles and other stores

Console and storefront builds do not share Steam's schedule. The official console release notes are maintained separately, so a fix described for PC may arrive later on your platform — check the console notes before assuming a patch has landed. This page labels the platform and the checked date for every build it reports for exactly that reason.

How to check which build you have

Storefront clients deliver updates automatically, so in normal circumstances you are on the latest build your platform has received. To confirm what "latest" means right now, open the official PC (or console) release notes linked below and compare the build number and date against the snapshot table above — if they match the Steam row and you play on Steam, you are current.
